hi all

i ve just built a busa powered kit car and i m having real problems with it not pass its CO emissions, i m running a power camandor 3 and a small CAT no lambda, i ve ordered a bigger CAT 6" by 4.5" so hopefully that will help

fuel pressure at idle is 40psi

engine isnt running the PAIR system

any tips you all can give to get it through the emissions test

much appriciated

maybe put the pair system back on it? im sure that would help. then take it off once you pass.

Did you have it tuned so you know what the map is doing for you? How were HC's and NOX? Pair valve can help lower HC but won't do much for CO. How does it run? Did you do anything to the engine? If no one has been inside it I'd assume timing is OK and NOX passed. If HC is within range, You've probably got a lean spot under 4K. What changes to air intake and exhaust did you do? You can always try dumping a bit of alcohol in the tank, but you likely need a dyno tune. On a bike, big changes at the converter & muffler can affect flow velocity and cylinder scavaging much more and at a different RPM than a normal tune would take into account. Good luck!
