These brake better, much better, than the originals and weigh aprox half (yep, HALF) the originals witch, by the way, are also made in china by "sunstar" (worst name ever for a rotor manufacturer..)

The decreased gyroscopic effect is immediately felt.
Time will tell how these handle mileage and I will keep you guys posted.
So far, I'm loving them.

If anyone has a link to these rotors would be greatly appreciated ...looked for arashi on ebay...none for Suzuki...also couldn't find this design..I am sold. WANT A PAIR ASAP..thanks Chris

They dont go by Arashi. They are just rotors on ebay. There is no brand name so no wonder you are not finding any results...

Mine are exactly like that off ebay - just different seller. I've done 2 track days with them besides street riding. The crafsmanship is pretty good. People can say what they want, but chinese stuff is getting better across the board.

I also had a little vibration during braking in one of the rotors. I determined the runoff to be 0.12 mm - still way within tolerances. I contacted the seller - that's 5 months after I purchased, and the chinese seller promised to send me one rotor for free. He said they were pretty popular. The vibration is almost gone now, but I would not refuse a spare rotor.

That's my firsthand experience - no hearsay. Bottom line - they are good quality, and my seller wants me to be happy with them. They answered my questions prior to the purchase, and after the purchase. Their English is a bit off at times, and they can't answer technical questions, but seem to be responsible.

I am a bit lazy to look up the seller, so let me know if you need to know.

Edit: OK, here is the exact listing, except I've got the ones with the middle part gold, not black.

So I put my money where my mouth is and bought these ... they look just like Galfers, but cost $220 with a matching rear ...

From placing the order they took 10 days to arrive on my door from China.

Of course the proof of the pudding will be in how they work. I'll be back with that report soon ... with honest appraisals and pix too... but so far I'm happy.

From placing the order they took 10 days to arrive on my door from China.

Of course the proof of the pudding will be in how they work. I'll be back with that report soon ... with honest appraisals and pix too... but so far I'm happy.

That is true, while I have trouble believing they are up to the same quality as reputable manufacturers, it is just a matter of time before they are.

Another thing to consider is that these companies are imitating not innovating. Essentially just copying the work of others, buy spending your money with these suppliers you are hurting the companies that do the real research and development.

I agree with you to the point. However, I think that US companies are taking advantage of us by pricing some products way too high. I would pay $280 tops for a US made rotors instead of $180 for a Chinese set. I cannot justify nor do I understand the price of $400+.

I have no proof that the MC brake industy is the same as the Auto Brake industry, but I would bet it is the same. With that being said, in the Auto brake industry, companies like Brembo, Wilwood, r1concepts, EBC, raybestos and others all use the exact same rotor blanks made in one of a few foundries in China. They buy them from the same place and put their name on them. Some cut slots, drill, dimple and add treatments to them, but at the end of the day they all started their lives in China.

Do you ever wonder why the Chineese are so quick to hit the market with clones? Mainly because most of our so-called American and European companies get them to manufacture the stuff they sell.

So bash the Chineese products if you want, but more than likely they are exactly the same and made in the same place as the products we think are made here.

Most of these U.S. companies have alot of overhead, and it can take quiet a while to actually turn a profit. Not just a profit on paper either, but paying off some or all of the debt accumulated from R&D to final production, employees salary/insurance, taxes, company expenses, owner's profit(that's what anyone is in business for, to turn a profit) and countless other costs that Chinese copies have little or none of.

Also, Chinese rotors are not that good, but they are good enough for many. I had an issue with one rotor, and they shipped another one - for free, and I got it in 5 days via UPS and could track all the way from China. They answer all my emails pretty quickly.

I took a chance for a reduced price, and feel it was a justifiable risk.

If China is truly copying illegally, our Government should step in.

And what about so many American brands, whatever you look at, it says "Made in China"? So, obviously US companies are taking advantage of cheaper labor.

I propose a national campaign. Anywhere you are about to buy something and it says "Made in China", ask cashier or a manager for a discount, and tell them "How can this cost so much if it's made in China?". I was in Pier 1 Imports, and was buying some small stuff, and requested a discount, and explained why. They took it seriously, but apologized for not being able to. I bet if a lot of people keep asking, this will have an impact.

After seeing Russel's review on his rotors I ordered a set myself. I tend to pay attention to people who actually tested a product out not those who just make an opinion without ever using them.

so i am one of these middle class people working for nexteer (aka delphi) we are one of the last suppliers of GM still state side and we just got bought buy a chinese company. so after saying that, i would tell you if these work as good or better than oem, than buy them. you buying $500 rotors to support the US isnt going to do much good because most of these US companies are owned by a bigger company that isnt US based. so i would rather have you guys buy chinese rotors that work(not the crappy ones) and have more money to go for a week ride than have it sit in your garage looking at those sweet $800 rotors and cant afford to ride it or go for a vacation with your family If you want to support us go buy an SUV lol i plan on trying these after i get new tires. everyone have a goodnight.

Well they're on and I have to say I'm more than happy with them ... My pads were almost new so I just installed the new rotors ... I've only rode for a little over 200 miles so they aren't even bedded in ... and they're awesome !!!

The rear rotor arrived today and when I get it on this weekend I'll post pix
