You install a race tensioner, you make adjustment = A lot! Race is high maintenance. Tensioners are set every few races. Not set and run cross country. Stay stock.

What about throttle body sync? Pull the clutch in; did most of the noise goe away?

I've got the same noise....havent really looked into resolving it though. I've put around 4k on the bike since I bought it last winter and the noise hasnt went away or gotten worse. I run mobil1 racing 4t full synthetic by the way.local cycle gear usually has it on sale for around $8 pint. shifts more smoothley than when I first got it with conventional oil but noise didnt change at all. I maybe try doing that little cam chain tensioner adjustment thing I read about on here sometime soon just to see if it works. Anyone got a link to that writeup?
