And don't forget this educational toy! The ever so inquisitive 2XL robot! With the 8-track like cartridge system! Woo baby, that was high tech!

All of those toys were classics. Of course they lasted for years because you only played them when the weather was bad, at least I did. I spent my childhood outside riding bikes and playing sports. When I came in at night I would play with my toys...

Just took a few pics from my computer room.

Let's see who can name these retro toys!

This old "bot" still works perfect.

These two game consoles should be easy to name.

This one ain't gonna be easy but without a doubt the coolest game system ever made.

Had a funny "Remeber the time" conversation at work.  How many of you remember this game.  I spent countless hours playing that when I was a kid!
It was so much fun getting to the sideline on that game! Once there it with a couple shakes it was all over but the cryin'!

The robot is VerBot or something like that.  I remeber dying and begging for one for xmas.  Raided the xmas stash about a month before xmas and found it, then had to wait till xmas morning to play.  Fun, but never quite as good as the commercials.  I do beleive I still have it buried away somewhere.

Not a Verbot.
More clues.
Fully remote controlled.
You can talk through the remote and your voice comes out of the robot.
Fully programmable from the keypad on the front of the robot.
Built in cassette deck with a slide out chassis.
You can program it to wake up at 7:00 am, roam across the house and into your bedroom, stop and then turn on the tape deck to wake you up.

Both were made by Tomy and I believe they both came out at the same time. I just looked at the copyright date on the owners manual and it's from 1984. Damn impressive toy for back then!
I think Verbot cost less than $100, iirc this one was around $400.

My wife got me that football game for Christmas. It plugs into my t.v. So, I play it on my big 48" big screen! Really fun I must admit. Nothing fancy, but fun!

Wasnt the game system a Vectrex? I had one of those, a self contained monitor and controler. You put plastic layouts over the screen for different games! High tech stuff, but it was fun!

Yep, that's the Vectrex. Nothing cooler than vector based arcade games from back in the day like Asteroids, Starwars and Tempest and GCE pulled it off for home use with a real vector monitor.
I'd love to find the 3D headset accessory. They show up on ebay every so often but usually go for over $1,000.

You wouldn't believe some of the new games coming out for it these days.
