Disney Cruise...everything you need to know...

One more, just 'cause I love my boys!

The second leg of our trip was to venture to the old ATL and visit the new Georgia Aquarium...

It was a great place, but very packed!!! If you go, pick a nice TUESDAY...Friday was busy and I understand the weekend is far worse...

Some pics from that...excuse the quality. My digi camera's high-speed card took a dump...

Here is THE reason I went...I love whale sharks and figured I've never see one in real life, then the GA Aquarium acquired two (Ralph and Norton). The only other whale sharks in captivity are in Japan. Ralph and Norton are just babies at 17 feet and 15 years of age. In the wild, they'll grow to 60' and live to be maybe 70 or so...

...another shot...the "window" looking in was 60' long and 24' high, 2' thick...I noticed it was quite "scratched" which of course shows really well in these pictures...

...a reeftank...very new, you could tell...just a few "live" pieces of coral and the rest just looks like coral...in a few years, this will be gorgeous...

Japanese spider crab...can get as big as a car and live 70 years, if he doesn't end up on someone's seafood buffett...

Lot's of good info...Thanks.

Can you scuba dive during the port visits? Is it scheduled through the cruiseline, or through the locals?

We were in Nassau from first thing in the a.m. 'til 7 p.m., so I see no reason to not fit in a diving trip. I honestly didn't see/hear anything about it...

The locals in Nassau were just busy getting the tourists in to cabs and the stores!

At Castaway Cay, I'm sure there was some decent diving, but again, didn't see anything other than offers of snorkel gear...

Hrmmm...I'm stumped...

I would have traded spots with a diver in a second!

If you're a certified diver, you can actually dive in the Living Seas Aquarium at Epcot Center in Orlando Florida. It's 7 million gallons. 200 ft diameter, and about 24 feet deep.

Well worth the money

We did it a couple of years ago.

Hubby and I have discussed getting certified for years, but never have committed to it...

That trip sounds awesome! Definitely something I'd enjoy doing...

wow great pics looks like ya had a wonderful time and an excellent review
laugh.gif

awesome pics..especially the whale sharks. I have been in awe of sharks since I was just a wee small boy.

The guy with the oragami towel folding is wasting his life away as you(Ginger) and yer hubbys(Gilligan) cabin boy.

P.S. don't tell him I called him Gilligan...I abhor violence, especially when its being bestowed upon me

But did you get your hair braided?
