Did some work on the trailer

"Stuff" got in the way and I wasn't able to finish installing the d-rings last weekend so I got it done today.  I now have the minimum to get the bikes to the bash.  As with the chocks, I made backing plates out of 16ga steel.

I started with a 6"x18" 16ga sheet.

Twotonevert and I were talking about how to do the install and he said he used a hole saw to go most of the way through then a wood chisel to clean up and leave a little bit of the bottom of the trailer in tact for added strength. That sounded reasonable so I got to buy a new chisel and here's what it looks like.

I dropped the d-rings in and it worked like a champ.

I finished drilling out the holes for the mounting bolts, ran a bead of exterior caulking around the edge of the backing plates and bolted them up.

Looking good, seems alot of us are getting things setup on our trailers right about now, i just don't no why

Thanks. I guess it must be something in the air.
