Deal's Gap - Busa Bash...!

I emailed Ron & Nancy yesterday about the bash
Also, I tried calling up to the "resort" and their 800 # was busy for about 30mins
Anyway, I finally got a hold of them and they are pretty much full as folks had said in prior posts. I was just calling to confirm my reservations... just to make sure

I was wondering when we would get added to the TOD list. Cool beans. I am really looking forward to this. Lets pray for some warmer weather than we have had recently. Especially for those of us braving the elements and riding in (you pansy trailer jockeys - jk).

Got some good news (I think?). My wife goes for the motorcycle written test tomorrow. Got to work out the financing for the bike, but that should be done by friday. If all goes well I should have the seat foam cut out and recovered by the weekend.
She is still not sure how ready she will be for riding solo on the trip but we will bring her bike just in case. I hope she does well on the whole steep learning curve thing.

Just a side thought. The MSF rider course is scheduled for the same dates as the Busa Bash. I hope it's not a bad omen. Chris

I will be there early sat to sunday afternoon, look for the 2000 blue/silver with white rear wheel (loosing the Shinko for the wifes Rennsport off her GSXR) Staying at the resort, prolly trailer, dont want to but want support equipment just incase.

Well guys it looks like I will not likely be able to make it. I have cencelled my room at Deal's Gap so if anyone wants it call them fast. If I end up being able to go I will just find a room or bunk with someone already there or something. I hope I can still make it but it looks doubtful. Bummer.

Its only 10 days to go! Lets post our routes we are taking to the dragon and see if we can get some convoys into the area. I'll be heading basically down I40W til Ashville then whatever roads take me to the dragon. Anyone want to meet up along the way? NCBusa?

so lets get a list of who's brining what and what still needs to be brought up. I saw some talk about wood, charcoal, grills, food stuffs, etc. I can bring some things just not sure what needs to be brought up.

Firewood
Charcoal
Burgers/chicken/steaks - whatever folks wanna chip in on and eat
seating (folding/collapsable chairs)
grill (if needed)
sodas
bottled water
beer and other adult refreshments
Anything else folks need/want for the list?
