Dealership labor time

I contacted the service departments of two dealerships in California (southern californa and northern california) and asked what would the labor be to change a cam chain and the cam chain guides on a Gen 1 Hayabusa. First dealership said about five hours the second delaership said nine and a half hours. Big difference. Aren't these book times from the manfacturer? It appears they will charge what ever they choose.

Do you find this to be true?

please advise.

:poke: why not do it your self? im betting one qouted you higher because they will pull and put back in your motor to do it and the other will do it while its still in the bike
