Dead Battery

Well it finally happened, went to start the bike and go to work and it would not start. Turned over slowly and then stopped. So I am getting a new battery at lunch today and it will be installed tonight. They just don't make them like they used too. This one is the stock 2008 battery that came with the bike, only 5 1/2 years old. I was hoping to get 6 out of it.

That's pretty good. Somehow I was able to get a little over 6 years on mine. I kept mine on a battery tenderizer when not riding regularly.

I dont know how you got over two seasons out of it

Dang, still running on the factory battery. Wonder if I'll make spring. Bought it in June of '08.

i just purchased a shorai for my 08 two wks ago, 5 yrs out of the original battery is pretty good

3 to 5 years is the time frame

I just replaced the battery in my 09'. The bike sets the majority of the time so I wasn't surprised.
