Clunking when locking rear brake

I was playing around with the rear brake pressure trying to find the lock up threshold . When the rear tire locks up a pulsing or clunking occurs, the sound is almost similar to a cars antilock brakes?

? Is this normal?? I don't think its the chain slapping around..tension is OK

IF there is pulsing then the wheel isn't locked, mostly I would simply not lock the rear brake...

Seriously though, there shouldn't be any clunking...

under normal braking it's fine. No noises or vibrations.just when locking it up. I've only done it a few times but it has made the sound each time..maybe i need to ask the dealer about it.

Dumb ?? but I gotta ask , is the clutch pulled all the way in when you lock up the rear?

yeah, the clutch handle is pulled in.

chain is ok.....wonder if the clutch/trans is still engaged even though the clutch lever is pulled in?

It's not "typical: to lock up the rear, but it will move back and forth under all that stress.

thanks for the help...i don't make it a habit, just playing around with hard braking.thats when i heard the noise almost a ratcheting, clunking sort of noise. Was wondering if all of the busa's did it..thanks again
