Not sure where to post this. A few months ago, someone posted about air conditioning their garage. Just ran across this deal and thought someone here might be interested in adding a window unit to their garage. Sears Kenmore 5000 BTU window unit for about $75 shipped.
Kenmore 5,000 BTU Single Room Air Conditioner $49.99 +shipping - Slickdeals.net
I was thinking I could mount it as needed under the garage door, blocking the rest of the opening with some cardboard....

If you don't want a window unit you can always use the swamp cooler kind of rigs, you throw ice and water in and they work pretty good so you don't need an exhaust like an ac does.

Room capacity is only 10x10, or 100 sq. feet.
I'd need 8 of the things to cool my 24'x36' garage!!!

Yeah, I knew 5000 btu wasn't much, but if it just knocked down the friggin humidity! That plus a fan might make it tolerable.

Yeah, and you're all the way up in Maryland, much further north, where it's much cooler than here in Virginia.
(LOL!  :beerchug:)
