Chain Cutting???

Hey guys...
Anyone know the best way to cut links off a chain if you don't have a chain breaking tool? Was thinking on using a dremel with a small cut off disc. Will this work? Anyone done it before?? Thanks.

If you are just trying to remove the chain, then yes. Just use a dremel with a cutoff wheel. Be sure to cut the master link, so that if needed, the chain can be used again in the future. This will, however, require the use of a chain breaker.

I allway's use a cut off tool to remove the rivit link. Mostly due to the rivit tool pin's usually break when trying to push the pin's out. Shave the pin's flat and take a chisle or good sized screwdriver and top the link plate off.

A simple way is use a dremmel if you don't have an angle grinder. Take out the links you don't need and pop out the pins.
