Trying to install a new 150 link chain. Got the old chain off by cutting it. I cannot figure out how to remove the excess links from the new chain. Once I get that done how do I press in the master link (joining link) and get it to stay with a chain tool?

Grind one pin and a press tool. Punch after grind will also work.
.
Good chain tool will rivet. master when installed.

I got two of em. Want to borrow one?

I rode with a clip on link for months with no problem.

I may get flamed, but I was only street riding not racing.

Just an option for now if you can get one.

I wanted say "THANK YOU" to org member Spudley. Adam lives a few miles away from me and offered to interupt his Satruday night to bring me his chain tool.

That's why this place is so grreat. Met Adam here and he is always willing to help out.!
