Can an R1 beat a Hayabusa?

I believe you are the kind of guy who goes into public restrooms to smell other guys caca.

Local guy just dynoed 140 rear wheel with his.
They are extremely light though........the right rider could prolly hold a Busa......if the Busa rider was less than average.
R1's don't put out near the torque either.
Take a good R1 rider that weighs 140 against a poor Busa rider that weighs 300, and ya prolly have a race.

but seriously, watch that video a couple pages back..........
and from experience, I smoked a 04 R1 like he was a pack of Marlboro reds homey.
he even got a jumpstart on me....... and then it was a wrap, all he saw was black and blue and some led's.


I was at Del Amo motorsports yesterday and I sat on one, the manager told me the R1 out torques the Busa by about 12 or 15 more lbs.
and he said his R1 dyno'd 165 to the wheel.

haha, nice first post for sure.

Even given the same horsepower (which by all the tests i've seen so far the R1 is roughly 10-12 horsepower short) The R1 isn't aerodynamic enough to stay with it on the fast side.. besides the torque is way low, plus you gotta have it cranked in the R's before it's got anything..unlike the busa which has a really broad HP/torque curve thru the rpm's.


I think if you'll check the zx10 has a more realistic chance of hanging with the busa. ... but it's still sadly lacking in the torque arena which is uhh... rather important for acceleration. Plus the aero still isn't there...

besides.. haha my busa is a busa... and the r1's zx10's gsx1000's & the honda are just the wannabe's.. everybody wants to outrun the busa... but as most busa owners will probably tell you... it's aint' all about being the fastest. it's about being stable at extremely high speeds... awesome drag bike.. decent track bike and phenomenol bike to just get out and ride.
 
besides this is all board racin'.. go buy one then we will set something up with somebody on the board.. you can star in your very own Hayabusa Vs. 04 R1 vid!

course you always run the risk of finding out that you were dupped by clever advertising and getting your ass handed to you.. ..just like every other dude that doesn't own a busa (up to this point atleast)
 
yes it can but the Busa can also beat a R1 also a 600 can beat a busa and a R-1
Rider is the key and set up bike has nothing to do with it
 
i thought we were talking about stock form here.. ?

no point in having a discussion if you just say a rowboat can beat a chicken on steriods and a chicken on steriods can be beat by a snail wearing a helmet on a calm day in sarasota and all that jazz.
 
i went head 2 head wit an 04 r1 last sat on a road trip. my speedo was pegged out and he was right there w/me. at first he had the jump on me but obvioulsy i had no problems catchin up. it suprised the hell out of me that the r1 could even go that fast...but he was givin it hell. i was just cruisn

Somethin tells me Clorox is an 04 R1 rider from the Yammy board........here fishy...fishy....fishy.
