Yup, when I went looking for new ride I considered the cruisers for the longest time cause of my size. Liter bikes just didn't feel right. Then came the Busa into my life and I have never looked back.... laugh.gif

Seems that, for obvious reasons, the Busa attracts a larger than average rider.
So lets have a poll and find out.

Was your size a consideration when getting the Busa??

5'-9", 150. I just wanted the baddest bike on the planet. No consideration whatsoever given to the size of the bike when purchased. After a week or so of ownership it became obvious that it was an uncomfortable reach to the bars, so the Genmar 1 1/4" riser went on. Now the bike fits me perfectly. smile.gif

The bike fits well, looks unreal, and can actually hold a second full sized human being on the back! (imagine that!!)

the fact its a rocketship is a bonus!

in all seriousness though, the size of the engine doesnt really relate to the size of the actual BIKE. how is it a 1000 now is only about 5-10 lbs more than a 600 and is the same in dimensions/measurements?? like i tell people all the time, id ride a 600 if i fit, but i dont. and i look ridiculous trying to do so.

Im also an avid snowmobiler. all the manufacturers more or less have the same humane, comfortable chassis housing different size engines. I ride a 600 2 stroke polaris. one of the smaller liquid cooled engines out there. But the damn thing is the same package as a 900. dont need or want the extra $1200 or lower mpg. wish bike buying were that easy!

oh well, "stuck with a hayabusa" is better than "stuck with a gixxer 600" anyday!

5'4" 135 pounds. Seat height is lower than alot of other sport bikes. The speed and longer wheel base, along with the low seat height sold me on the Busa.... wink.gif

Nope, sure wasnt. The Bus was the ONLY new bike I wanted.
6' 5½" and 224 lbs. The bike does fit me rather nicely though without overly folding up my legs or hunching over the gas tank. biggrin.gif I considered an R1 but after riding my friend's I just felt twisted up like a pretzel...

6' 2", 220. When I sat on a CBR and similar they felt like toys. Realllly cramped. But it was the power and speed that captured me.

6'0" 175 lbs. Size wasn't a factor for me, it was just one of those 'love at first sight' situations in my case. smile.gif

6'1" @ 195. I bought "Big Red" because there is nothing better than a Busa. It is the Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Porsche of motorcycles. All others bikes continue to drink milk, sleep in a Holiday Inn Express, and try saving money by switching to Geico in the hopes that some day they will grow up and become a Busa...

I'm 6'0 225#. I was use to riding a GSXR750 which was great 1 up but didn't do it for me when I had bags full of camping gear or a passenger on the back, so I was looking for something that could handle all those responsibilities with mucha energía and still be nimble enough to drag the pegs full tilt. The 'busa fit the bill quite perfectly.

Hey Everyone,
I'm 5'8" and 175 lbs at my fighting weight. Right now I'm a little past that at 190 lbs. My height and weight weren't even a consideration. It's just a love at first sight thing for me....
Respectfully,
Harry

6'-4" and down to 261 right now. was 373 last January. the Busa was the motivation to drop the weight, and nope it wasn't the reason I wanted one. I just fell in love the first time I saw one blow past me on the interstate.
