busa needs a gear indicator!!

dang im tired of shifting into 7th. im so busy trying to keep up with the speed i cant remember what gear im in. i hope my gipro gets here soon.

anybody else doin this or is it all me?

If you're going

85mph at 4500 rpm, you're in 6th gear
65mph at 3500 rpm, you're in 6th gear
45mph at 2500 rpm, you're in 6th gear

Your mph may vary but if you pick some set points like that, you'll avoid shifting into 7th quite readily.

Just imagine how bad it'd be if you didn't even have a 6th! You'd start trying to shift into the non-existant top+1 gear even sooner - like me!

I don't know, but i never have a problem of knowing what gear i'm in. When i ride i put it in the gear i need and then use it. If i go faster i shift.

I ride and shift by RPMs, what gear really doesn't matter. Because the road condition (wet-dry), type (flat, hilly, twisty, night-day) and road surface ( Smooth, rough, bumpy) determines my gear selection. Of course I know what gear I'am in by the revs and speed at cruise. I'am at 3900 RPM at 70 mph in 6th and around 4500 RPM at 80 mph (only on turnpikes of course
