gear indicator problem

I have a 08 B-King(all stock), and last two weeks while im riding, i started to notice the gear indicator is jumping around, ill be driving in second, and it will show 1 for a secon then 2 then 3 jump back to 2, its really noticable when im in 4 and it jump to 5th. 5th gear fuel map adds alot more power and cause a surging of power.

im guessing its a gear position sensor. is it an easy fix, or do i need to take it to suzuki? where is it located?

I just installed a tre on my 01 busa and the sensor was on the left side of frame under tank. only white connector. check in that area and maybe the connector got wet or vibrated loose or something. hope this helps man,
