For a 2008 Hayabusa, is a special brake kit need for a 240 kit or do you just use the stock brake set up? I thought you could use the stock set up but when getting a quote for Xtreme Machine, they said I needed a special bake set up. Thw swingare they are selling is a C and S Customs. Any help is appreciated.

I got my kit thru Trac Dynamics. The kit included a longer brake line for the 4" stretch, brake rotor, chain, and sprockets. The brake assembly is stock.

I would have thought that all of the 240 kits retained the stock brake caliper. Maybe a change in the mounting bracket and the torque arm and brake line. I think it would also depend on the strech.

For an 08...the caliper is on top of the arm. Most arms kits have the caliper under it. The location is what changes....what all is needed depends on the manufacture of the arm. THere are a few members here that have 240s on 08, maybe they will chime in soon enough.
