Brakes and other maintenance

Gas it hard in first or second , in a rare emergency , getting out of somethings way in a hurry , and you may find yourself pulling a wheelie . Don't worry tho , a nice power wheelie from a standard bird usually only means a 6" ish to 12" max loft . The bike has this behavior well within its repertoire , and is always composed , unlike some pilots .

I did launch hard one day doing a quick race against a squid on an R1. Front came up a few inches and back down. Got my attention real quick.

So ,
you want
the brembo
calipers that
come on the

newer Hayabusas
from the factory ?

I always heard they are not as good as
the expensive aftermarket brembos .

There was no Hayabusas
with factory brembos ?

Back when I upgraded my calipers ,
So I just got a set of tokico mono blocks
from a gsxr1000 and put the pads sixpack
recommended in an earlier post .

Now ,
I think you are
missing out wanting
to keep your OEM master cylinder ,
just because you want to keep your ASV levers .

Do not get me wrong ,
I loved my ASVs ,
but if I remember correctly ,

they offer a lever for brembo MC and
brembo has a short lever option as well .

Have fun
wrenching
.
