Best to put LED's behind them cause you want to get them as bright as possible when in use. Especially the brake light! Some places it is illegal to use tinted covers over the headlight when it is dark out or other conditions where an cage would need them on. Fog,rain,etc...

Do you have a hobby shop in your area? If so, go there and ask for RC car lexan body shell paint, bout $5.00 per small rattle can. It comes in many, many colors including black. Take your lenses off and shoot a light coat on the INSIDE of them. It will leave a shiny, tinted look to the outside and if you do a LIGHT COAT, the light will still work pretty well at night. You will have to get a clear tail/brake light lense as it won't work right with the red.
Cheap, quick, and effective.

I will never understand why people want to do this....you NEED to be seen on a bike when your turning or stopping. Nobody wants a truck up there tail pipe because they couldn't see your turn signals....It's a free country, so do what you got to do.

It does LOOK cool, but the safety drawbacks are enough for me not to do this.
