Ouch. Seems a bit harsh. Why not use some sort of spike strip? I don't see that move going over well here in the US.

being a member of the LE community, i personally think that was great. I just wonder what kind of media outcry that would cause here in america if that were to happen. They cry enough when a cop uses "excessive force" on some coked out drugged up thug thats resisting arrest, I cant even fathom how far theyd run with something that violent looking. Kudo's to those spaniards.

Ok he was a criminal but common when does it stop OK this guy had a grenade suposedly but what if next time they do it for less of a reason like speeding or something I am glad I have rights here in America and I dont live in Spain. I am not stupid enopugh to take hostages and had they shot him with a sniper rifle while he was a immenent danger to others I cold understand but a spike strip or something less harmful at that point would have been nice besides now those spainards can pay for him for the rest of his life including all the health care.
