Best way to remove and replace fairing decals?

How did you guys know where to put the new sticker?
Where to place it on a new fairing, same spot as oem?
I'm actually going to be doing this tomorrow

I had the old (damaged) fairing with the sticker on it so when i was doing the decal install on the new fairing, i measured where it was placed and marked it on the new fairing.
