Base Gasket reuse or new?

Trying to grab one now, but looking for those who has reused or would never reuse a base gasket. Thoughts?

I would not reuse a case gasket.
You don't know if and how much oil it has absorbed, which will cause future leaks, with or without gasket sealant.
I also use Yamabond or Hondabond sealer with the gasket. And allow 24 hours for it to fully cure before adding oil.

I wouldn't reuse a base gasket either.
As it has been previously compressed, and may not seal so good a second time.
That can be more serious than just an oil leak too. If it can suck air, that can lean the air/fuel ratio, and burn down an engine.

You can/ I have reused a base gasket with some sealant on it
I hate to cause you have to BE VERY CAREFUL not to use too much so it ends up in you crankcase, and it makes cleaning next time tougher. But in a pinch,,, I have also left it out and just used sealant IF DECK HEIGHT ALLOWS

I have a new one coming from Powerhouse. I'm waiting for that to come in. It's my fault. I don't know how the hell I didn't notice it was missing. Oh well. Weather still isn't that great up here yet so I'm not really missing out on anything. Plus I have a few other bikes to ride in the meantime.
