Balance wheels for certain speeds?

A fella' who drags race cars told me they balance wheels for certain speeds.  Something along the lines of balancing for below 80 mph or above 80 mph.  Is this true?  I'm having a new rear tire mounted/balanced soon.  Should I ask them to balance the tire for higher speeds?

balancer can be set for regular and fine balancing... so may be he meant that???

Example: I balanced wheels for my truck... everything was fine till over 75mph... balanced them on fine... never had this problem again.

Oh yeah! And I static balance my busa wheels... been over 160 several time... no vibrations.
No Mar balancer for $100.
