Anyone here make bio-diesel?

Curious to see if anyone here makes there own bio-diesel from cooking oil or motor oil? If you do lets talk !

I don't but one of my bosses did. Very industrious gentleman. Ran a full farm while working with us. He had a fire in his bio-diesel barn, burned to the ground, and even made the news.

His insurance canceled him because they said it was a commercial facility and they didn't pay any damages. Other than that he felt it was worth it. He had a network of stores he would collect cooking oil from so his supply was pretty stable. Apparently, the commercial insurance was pretty expensive.

Don't know any more details than that.

I am about to step off into this, starting small of course and seeing where it goes. I don't have a large need for Diesel but I have two tractors and a diesel lawnmower that run on it. I am intrigued to at least know how to do it and go through it at least once...
