Anybody watch Friday Night Lights?

I started watching this series when it was first on television. Then for some reason I stopped watching. Now with Netflix i am watching it all over from season 1. I did a search on the internet and what I got from it is that they are ended it after season no.5. Is this true? please don't tell me anything about the series since I'm only on season no.2.
