That is a truly amazing transformation. This inspires me to keep my first generation Busa just a little longer. I was very disappointed with my older tail section. Do you mind sharing the total cost of the transformation with the members.

i dont like it. the tail on the new busa is the only thing that keeps me from buying one. and if i ever got one, i'd either swap for the older style tail or a gsxr conversion.

You did a great job. to each their own. But in my opinion the only thing i don't like about the gen 2 is the tail. I think it ruined an otherwise beautiful bike, and the only reason why i still own my gen 1. The tail on a gen 1 is beautiful to me.

Interesting thread.

The looks dont really bother me, happy to have owned Mk1's,
Looking at a new Mk2. I look for lots of things in a bike but the
shape of the tail is pretty low on the list.
Hell, I even bought a B-King !

I do have a Mk1 frame, fairing, arm etc etc that im building up.
Its good to know I have a choice of either tail and the difference
in weight and clearance.

Highway... Nice tail... If I was you, I'd ditch those amber front signal lenses for some clear ones and amber bulbs. Would match the rear signal lenses.
