footpeg replacement

i was wondering if anyone knows of this or has tried.....

i have a 2007 busa and was looking over the new '08 and noticed quite a difference in the footpegs. i'm not really as concerned with the driver's pegs, but was wanting to know if anyone had tried swapping out the 07's passenger pegs with the 2008 passenger pegs. will they bolt on, or am i imagining things? thanks for any feedback!

The 99-07 stock pegs are a direct fit on the 08 and vice-versa. The 08 springs are smaller, but fit all years. The peg pin is the same on all years.
