No, All are close to the same. Race versions are thinner and usually not recommend for street use. I went with K&N's because they're cheaper and easier to get.

+1, I won't claim any really noticeable power increase on my bike. But with my K&N and BMC Race I noticed a nice improvement in off idle throttle response.
The over oiling is a good point too.
