A Slice of North Carolina Hits San Diego

I want one. Where might i get one at?

Hey, bro...please contact Kat (Kevin's sister (a.k.a. Katslair) on this forum; she was the one who had them made and taken to the Spring Bash.

:beerchug:

Ahhhh...sweet memories! As long as they are not forgotten...we will never be alone.

Kevin's Spirit flew with us that day and surrounded us all in an embrace together.

Kevin's Spirit will always be with you!

As I looked at the pic, tears began to well in my eyes. No one will ever know just how much we needed you all! From SoCal to NC and many places in between, your Spirits came to me when I needed you most. You guys will never know what it meant to be in that "Rockin' Chair" amongst all the Hayabusas and other rides. The emotion ran hard: the beauty of the ride Kev loved most, the Brotherhood he rode with, the Spirit of it ALL…will always remain embedded in my soul! You carried our hearts and our memories for the Spring Busa Bash 2009 just like you carried our grief over the loss of Kevin. For that I salute you! There is a bond that has been created between the oRg and the Varner Klan that will never be broken. You all have gained my utmost respect, admiration, and Brotherhood.

First, :welcome: to the family. Second, please PM Katslair for all information regarding the patches. I'm sure she'd be very pleased to hear from you.

Kat: Can you make this information public (again?)...maybe put it up here in this thread? Thanks, luv.

Scar, no problem. The donation was to cover the initial cost of the patch. Over 50 of them were donated out to members of the oRg, the oRg itself, and to some family members such as Brenda's family. I have yet to make it to MR Honda to give out a few especially to Maki, Kevin's boss and to Mr. Bill, Iron Calvary MC who escorted the Memorial Ride for Kevin. At the Bash, I received $73 in donations to cover a $300 expense. RIP patches have always been a way of life to remember our fallen ones and to keep their memories close as we ride. I hope that asking for a donation did not offend anyone especially since I bore the upfront cost. To me, the patch is priceless.

These patches were designed in honor of Kevin and for his testimony to live on through his Brothers In The Wind.

Gold - for the streets of gold he rides on. . .
Cross - for his loyalty to his Master, Jesus Christ. . .
He signed his emails for years with a quote that will follow and after his initial diagnosis of Cancer, he signed. . .Believe

"In an age of nothing, at a time when we stand at the brink of our own destruction - Strengthen your belief in yourself, in the future of humanity, in the things which cannot easily be perceived. Awaken that which lies dormant now within your soul, re-ignite the flame of your consciousness and measure the strength of your conviction. Reveal the lie, renounce your hatred, seek, find, and embrace the truths you are fortunate enough to discover. Use them to anchor you in the Sea of Chaos that is the world we live in. When twilight draws near, when you are pushed to the very limits of your soul, when it seems that all you have left are the dead remnants of the fabric of your life - BELIEVE..."
