A question for you detail guys

I've been applying Meguires #7 followed by #26 everytime I wash my bike (about 4 or 5 coats now). How often should I strip the wax off the bike (or should I)? Any better products out there for a better finish?

Several betterproducts out there. We have had a post on this somewhere. I personally do not like wax, I like an acrylic coating. It shines better and does not leave in residue.
