It's times like this when a guy might want the option of selling some body parts for cash...a kidney, maybe the one "bad" eye?

Sorry not me this time. LOL
Not comment on were i went but i was there along side him once spotted. ( i am not incrimanting me self)lol
Thinker62 and friend doc was way behind and cought up to us in just town in time to see my friend on the side of the road getting the ticket.
He saw it in person, the whole incedince, and there is NO decimal missing.
I wouldn't say waaaaay behind. I was second, but stopped to take pics of guys coming around the corner. But truth bed told, G-Cal was holding back, being a good host. The other host knew the area well and was hitting it at 150+. I don't think the officer liked that.

Not that its relavent but Kevin was in front and I was second at the time. I sopped to try to catch you and Doc coming over this bridge and around this corner. After you both passed, I jumped back on the road. I eventually caught and passed Doc and then I came up to you waiting for me.

It wasn't a race at all. In fact the give and take of us pulling up the rear and blasting ahead to take pictures, worked out rather well I thought. Kevin was a bit more aggressive and Doc a bit more conservative. We were both in between.

The cop probably pulled that $7500 figure out of his ass. Seems the *MAXIMUM* fine in Oregon is only $5,000.
Still there maybe be JAIL time involved...don't drop that soap!

If he can get his lawyer to plead it down to "Speed Racing on Highway" that's a reasonable $600 fine.

Fight it to the end, and draw it out with contiuences, motions, posturing , till the case is 2 years old and the prosecutor just wants to close it under a favorable outcome for you.

I would get a lawer and go after the cop who wrote the ticket knowing it was an incorrect fine amount.
