2008 stator fit a 2000

I have ran into a issue I am in need of a stator I have looked all over the place for a stator. I am on ebay and all they have is 2001-2008 will that fit my 2000. Since the ecu hook up are different i need some advice.

What part of the stator do you need?

Cover yes, internal components or actual stator i believe are different. I've never owned a Gen1 so i'm not 100% positive.

I am in need of a stator I cant find one no where only year I can find is 2008 so, I am trying to see if its compatible direct bolt up or do I need to change some things up if I got a 2008-10 stator?

How about this, I've got one from a 04 that will fit your bike for sure that I'll do cheaper than ebay, $110 shipped.
