Maybe that's it. They're pretty plain they're similar to race bike fashion. A lot of the 90's bikes had cans just like that. And then they started getting all artsy fartsy.

Does anyone remember the Hayabusa Sweden videos?. In some of those countries they couldn't change their mufflers, but that didn't stop them from going out and riding the sh!t out of their first generation bikes. :thumbsup:

If any of you haven't seen the videos it's got a killer soundtrack too.

Niiiiiice! So who’s still riding the original? Kiwi has a 99. Mine’s the 8th year model. Only one year more before the next version.

HI Everyone, bought my first hayabusa the other day, it is a 2000 that is all stock,( exhaust, ais, rear fender, reflectors.}
Body work is clean, needs a good polish, but no repainting necessary
No mods at all.
It has 43000 kms. Blue and silver
The question is ,
is a unmodified 2000 hayabusa worth more stock? than if I started customizing it?
Full exhaust., ais deleted, stretched, etc
Thxs in advance
My 1999 Gen 1 in black. It’s got Yoshi RS3 stainless cans, KnN filter in airbox, TRE, switchback LED / DRL in front indicators, LED headlights, LED Taillights and clear rear indicators. Ive got a Healtec Speedo healer on as well because the Speedo was 24 mph optimistic on a high speed run ( private road of course!).
I’ve also dropped the rider’s pegs down and forward an inch, as I went to France from UK on her last summer and a 1& 1/2 inch handlebar riser kit on and a TT style high screen for high speed touring !!
I run BT023 tyres. Never had an issue with them.

Paid £4800 for her just over 2 years ago.

Oh yeah, mileage, 23000 miles!!!

What is next? Brembo front RCS 19mm front master cylinder to get brakes better.

Enjoy your hyper bike , remember throttle turns both ways!!!

Nice looking bike! Interesting wheel lock you've got there.
