I would think that given where you live, you could find most of these bikes used at dealers not too far away, meaning you could test ride them all, then buy the one that you want new.

Sadly, add around $5-6k more for most of these bikes up here.....A '26 Hayabusa LE (blue and white model) is around $26k here, before taxes and all the other fees.....

In 2012, the Canadian Dollar was pretty much on par with the US Dollar. Today it is 73c against our Dollar. I'm surprised, as the US Dollar devalued by around 10% since June last year, due to all the shenanigans this end. Yours is on a 5 year lowest.

I guess at the end of the day, it is about what one can afford.

One thing which is interesting is how a 100% stock unmolested Gen2 Hayabusa with low mileage holds it value.

My K9 at list price today lost 18% of what I paid for it new.

My truck over the same period lost around 65% of its value compared to what I paid for it new.

Around here pickups hold their values while sport bikes depreciate and are hard sells.....can hardly give them away....

I've seen several Hayabusas on the buy and sell for a long time with several price reductions and they are still there....some of them are 100% stock as well......

When I look in any parking lot, it is filled with pick ups and SUVs........in the summer, Harleys are the most common bikes I see....very few sport bikes....

Looks like good condition Gen2's is a hard find in Canada? Did some searching, not much out there?

I can ask for the moon but it don't mean it will sell.....that bike could have been on that site for months.....like many of them are.....and Charlottetown is in PEI, a tiny little island with a small population and even fewer bikes..........I've never checked the Charlottetown Kijiji before....as it's thousands of kms away from where I am...

This link is for Kijiji in Ontario which you know has a lot larger population and yet these bikes will sit on this buy and sell for a long time....

Looks like there is a massive used market for Gen3's.

Wonder if it was just too much bike, or buyer's remorse?

For me, not that difficult.

Not that I’m a big fan of Marquez, but I’ll take his exclusive hand-painted helmet as well — priced at around $8,000.

Luckily for me, both the motorcycle and the helmet are sold out.:D

Yes, there seems to be a few of them out there for sale.....as we inch closer to spring, I suspect more will be popping up.....

I have found that the sport bike market is drying up here...even when I was in Ottawa for those three weeks in the peak riding period, there were very few sport bikes but a lot of cruisers.......

While there, I stumbled across a gathering and ride for prostate cancer and there were a few thousand bikes gathered up but very few of them were sport bikes and I didn't see one Hayabusa of any generation......

I think the Busa is a great all around bike, maybe the best, but a lot of people have a particular element of motorcycling in mind, and end up with a bike that excels in that element. Happened to me with the Tuono. For a guy my age that loves twisties, nothing else compares.

Honestly, I’m getting too old for the twisties. I could still have fun with that back in 2009 when I bought the bike. Today, I struggle with a full tuck and these narrow country roads use to get narrow at 160, now it’s 140.

I can still do 60 miles on the bicycle comfortably though. Use to do a 100.

Enjoy the Tuono and hope you stay young and daring as the years move on.

This was me around 2016, before my b@lls shrunk.

The neighbor down the street had a ZX4RR and in all reality, that would be more bike than I really need.....the Hayabusa I have is wasted on me....but I love the old thing.....

He is a wheeler-dealer though and sold it off.....he had a CBR650R picked up by the time the new owner picked up the Kawasaki.....
