LOLSo what are going to buy Jelly?
To keep.at your son's in Ca and ride with him and Pashnit on?
In 2012, the Canadian Dollar was pretty much on par with the US Dollar. Today it is 73c against our Dollar. I'm surprised, as the US Dollar devalued by around 10% since June last year, due to all the shenanigans this end. Yours is on a 5 year lowest.Sadly, add around $5-6k more for most of these bikes up here.....A '26 Hayabusa LE (blue and white model) is around $26k here, before taxes and all the other fees.....
Around here pickups hold their values while sport bikes depreciate and are hard sells.....can hardly give them away....In 2012, the Canadian Dollar was pretty much on par with the US Dollar. I guess at the end of the day, it is about what one can afford.
One thing which is interesting is how a 100% stock unmolested Gen2 Hayabusa with low mileage holds it value.
My K9 at list price today lost 18% of what I paid for it new.
My truck over the same period lost around 65% of its value compared to what I paid for it new.
Looks like good condition Gen2's is a hard find in Canada? Did some searching, not much out there?Around here pickups hold their values while sport bikes depreciate and are hard sells.....can hardly give them away....
I've seen several Hayabusas on the buy and sell for a long time with several price reductions and they are still there....some of them are 100% stock as well......
When I look in any parking lot, it is filled with pick ups and SUVs........in the summer, Harleys are the most common bikes I see....very few sport bikes....
I can ask for the moon but it don't mean it will sell.....that bike could have been on that site for months.....like many of them are.....and Charlottetown is in PEI, a tiny little island with a small population and even fewer bikes..........I've never checked the Charlottetown Kijiji before....as it's thousands of kms away from where I am...Looks like good condition Gen2's is a hard find in Canada? Wonder if it was just too much bike, or buyer's remorse?
I’ve always wanted to ride a Rocket. Maybe this spring.LOL
That Triumph looks tempting.
I think the Busa is a great all around bike, maybe the best, but a lot of people have a particular element of motorcycling in mind, and end up with a bike that excels in that element. Happened to me with the Tuono. For a guy my age that loves twisties, nothing else compares.Looks like there is a massive used market for Gen3's.

Honestly, I’m getting too old for the twisties. I could still have fun with that back in 2009 when I bought the bike. Today, I struggle with a full tuck and these narrow country roads use to get narrow at 160, now it’s 140.I think the Busa is a great all around bike, maybe the best, but a lot of people have a particular element of motorcycling in mind, and end up with a bike that excels in that element.
