10 minute buzzing windscreen fix.

Not sure if anybody else has the fairing buzz at low rpms, but it was bugging the hell outta me. Quick fix is to remove the windscreen and apply 1mm rubber tape in 3 cm pieces spaced about 5 cm apart all along the top inner edge of the screen. Gently coax it back into place, and problem solved. Mine hasn't made a sound since.

If the tape was all along the top edge why did you take the screen out ?

I think he means the leading edge under the fairing BJ. But--you know me, I'm never wrong. Where were you guys last weekend?

Yeah a few of us fixed the buzz with electrical tape. That works good too.

A quick and easy fix for that problem is to purchase from 3M the clear round self adhesive stopper (1cm wide), stuff it between the dashboard and windscreen. A 10 second job that stops the noise once and for all. Being clear, it is not obvious. It comes in a pack of 10 for $3.50 (Singapore).
