OK guys... Here is my firts trip to the track.

I usually race my front motor dragster in Goodguys Vintage racing and NHRA Comp. The dragster runs 7.20 about 185 in the quarter. My 2005 busa Ltd. is the first bike that I have ever purchased and ride it somewhat conservative...

I was at Sacramento raceway on 10-21 in the heat of the day waiting for the dragster to show up for a day of testing.. Had no clue where to launch it at and also the track was really stickey. I had concerns on how to launch it.

The bike is 100% stock (so far) and I am about 6'3 & 200lbs.

I launched it and just about stalled the motor. The rpm was way to low for the conditions. It ended up having a 3.11 60' time. After I got the rpm back up I feather the clutch out and ran it just to the point of the rev limiter. I shifted it somewhere around 10,500 to 11k and went through the lites in third on the rev lkimiter. It went 11.602 and 138.62.

Considering it wasthe very first pass I ever made on the thing I was somewhat happy. I know there is a ton left in it but I need to work on the launch more. I'll update more when I get back to having time to test the bike. The dragster was ready so the rest of the day was spent tesing that for the Goodguys Fuel & Gas finals in Bakersfeild, Ca.
