'06 Busa ponies ???

Can anyone share the HP and Torque specs for the '06 ?

'03 156.1@9500 99.0 lb.-ft.@6750

'06 GSX-R1000 shown as 159.8@11500

06 is probably very close to the 03 since nothing changed 'cept BNG!

the certificate of origin I had before I sent it to the washington DMV stated that the HP was 172.5 hp

Thats what mine said but I think thats just at the crankshaft,I'm sure someone will give us the lowdown

Ratings vary with each individual bike and dyno, just like everything else. The official magazine ratings haven't changed. Yes the 1k puts out more peak hp, and it runs a quicker 1/4. This is nothing new. The 14 puts out more tq, and also runs a quicker 1/4........

yes, I know all production vehicles are rated at crank horsepower.

none are rated at rear wheel horsepower.

If I find a bike dyno around here in southern MD hopefully I can get my bike dyno'ed while it is still all stock.
