'02 tank+pump in '00 busa

Hi guys,

trying to solve the vapour lock-whateverelse problem affecting my bike, i have found a good conditions used tank wuth internal fuel pump...

my idea is to mount it replacing the original one with external pump, so i can solve the problem of the pump getting HOT.

so the question:

has anyone changed the system as i am attempting to do?

have i to buy something else over the tank with internal pump?

is there something i have to take particular care of when i do this replacement?

is there any tutorial?

It would be easier to get an aftermarket fuel pump and a fuel petcock adpater plate. Then you can move the fuel pump to the right side of teh tail section.

You have the '02 tank and pump or are you trying to put use an '00 pump on an '02 tank?

I replaced my '99 tank with an '01 tank and internal pump. I had lurching problems that have been solved by getting the OEM fuel line and fuel rail joint. Apparently the fuel hose I had was getting kinked, despite using a 90º connector.
