As some of you know I wiped out last fall. So after some of the other things are done I am started. I will post as I go.


The pile grows

Did you know Oriental red is really pink..

Changed to black instead

The black ... gloss

Some things I will fix ... gorilla glue


Well that was fun more to come...

Question... should I go dark blue or black on the mufflers ... here is old and new colors.

I tried but they went darker on me. I loved the old color, but think the new color has a lot more depth to it.

I am not using paint. I am powder coating them. Nice and easy with no runs...

Wow I have been looking for mirrors, but not sure about stock or aftermarket. I think I like stock best so far. Do you have paypal ? Let me know... After the mirrors I have everything. And extra if needed... My plastic kit comes with everything plastic on the bike.

Ok I see most people say blue I still like gloss black. I have other parts I have coated and you can see yourself in it. I would like more input if you don't mind... I have to buy the blue I will have to use. Can someone look on eBay and tell me what blue to use? I just don't think I see one that would be right....

to my eye, that blue matches the old body more than the new one. Have ya seen the blue micron cans? That blue seems very close to the new paint. Im even using my good eye, just for you.

I agree... I can't find a blue to match. I have not seen blue micron cans, but I will look.... I really not looking to buy new cans though... Just a new color..as for the good eye just for me ... Lol.. Did you know I am blind in one eye... That is how I got my nick name 1iBandit....

You have to show Bob twice because he only sees half of what you show him... He can only make right hand turns because he can't see the left side...hehehe.... Thanks for the pic... Ok I know this project took a long time, but I also did my roof, my zl1000, a new trany in my kids car, two brake jobs, painted 5 rooms in the house, and had a grad party for my son.... I was busy... well here is what I did.
Powder coated pegs front and rear.
Powder coated mufflers
LEDs front fender, ram air tubes, frame, under seat, and on swingarm
New plastic.
