I can ask the TX Mile techs, but I know they are getting ramped up now, so I thought I would ask here first.

For you Mile vets.

I have a filter for my crankcase instead of a hose running into the air box. Do I have to pull off the filter and place a "catch can" for that line?

How about the gas tank lines...those into a catch can as well?

I have bolt-on swingarm extensions....are those ok?

I am running a basic stock bike with a pipe. I am just hoping to touch 180mph....if I can. I know I won't be the fastest over 1250cc. What would I register as?

your can should be fine

as far as 180 i think you may fall a bit short , depending on gears and how fast you get off he line !

other wise i think you have the power, rider weight may be a the facter as well , is your bike derestricted ?

what gears are you running stock ?

any way it goes when you get there , you will have a blast , it is crazy cool and i will be back some time , i have been trying to get back but work wife kids ex ,, im really trying to go this yr some time , i want to hit at least 190 this time if not my 200 mark

i want that shirt and i want to earn it !

Thats what I am thinking also. I am not sure I will break out of 170's. I am planning on running 17/39 gears

I've ran 9.30s and 148 in the 1/4. What would be a reasonable expectation for the Texas Mile? 230lb rider. I want to go this year and was hoping to break on the 180s

well if the gears are good , all i can say is get off the line fast , get it pinned fast , with out spinning or lifting

my bike is gen2 an it has the power but it was my first race ever .....

so my best was 184.7 ?

any how gen 1 is lacking in hp comp to gen2 but it really is getting off the line getting it pinned and hitting your shifts !
if you get that down i am sure you will see high 170 - low 180

good luck guys

It really depends on weather conditions. I would shoot for 170 and take anything faster than that...

With that trap speed I would think 180's pretty easy but again depending on weather... :beerchug:
