A few of us here have Harley’s and a variety of other bikes. What are y’all doing to them lately? Mine I finished building a catch can which is working as intended and now I just ordered a set of bars for it. My arms just sit too low. I am also starting my de-chrome project. I plan on replacing most of the chrome parts with black. I have only seen one other bike my color done with black and it was pretty nice.
Finished up the bar install today. Running the wires through the bars wasn’t as bad as people say. Sitting, these bars are completely comfortable. Will test them out tomorrow.

This thing… 04 VTX1300C, my dad gave me before he passed had 971 miles when I got it and 300 of those were mine! Lol. He kept it in a bubble. Parked on a thick plastic then zipped up with a blower hooked to it to form a bubble.. crazy right? Well it’s pristine and aside from me re-jetting it and de-capping its otherwise stock. It now has maybe 2k on it.. and a fresh set of tires.

Dang that is a beautiful shark!! Are those bars 12s or 14s? I went with 12s and they are just the right height for me. Just needs a bit of fine tuning. Here’s a pic from this morning as I was headed out for coffee. I need to find some good places for pics. My driveway and garage suck….lol.

Mine are 12s as well. I found them to be more comfy than stock and when I got the new seat with backrest even more so.
Just did the 3hole service on it today and meant to go out for more pics but I only got it out for a bit then back home before the rain.

Forgot the rest, but runs good. Ran 12 flat in 1/4 at 114 mph with my 250 lb butt foot shifting with forward controls.
Got 600 cams and 90 CI Axtell pistons and jugs sitting under the table just waiting for the day I bore the cases out.
I keep all my other bikes mainly stock. I may remove a mirror or a turn signal, but they stay stock. Most I've done is add a Corbin seat, and foot pegs for the wife. Odd....

I found if I had to mod a bike too much it wasn't the right bike for me and would get rid of it...
I find bikes I like and do a light and simple mods to improve what is already there....
My current bike came to be 90% ready to go...I basically just had to adjust the suspension from what was already done and a couple other little tweaks here and there.
I guess in the grand picture, I haven’t done much to this bike. A stereo, exhaust, bars. Speaking of bars, after riding today I do need to pull the bars back to me about 1/2-1in and try to find a good place for pics.
