I'm trying to see from your pics.. Have they changed the oil cooler piping and/or routing? Looks like you can get the filter out now without needing to drop the oil line?

With some of the aftermarket full exhausts, there is no easy way of removing the oil filter without either dropping the oil cooler line of dropping the headers off the block. And if I can avoid unscrewing the oil line connection and leaving it alone, that is worth changing to the later cooler and line setup

I've never had to do that with 5 Hayabusas but it's either a yoshi or a turbo for me. The only thing I did with my Gen 2 that has an oil cooler still is take the lower oil cooler bracket off.

On my gen 2 with the full yoshi alpha t exhaust I have to remove the oil cooler line to remove the oil filter, and the brocks penta carbon i put on another gen 2 came with the same directions to remove the filter.

did u take any pics of the header assembly before installing? just wonder if it has cross over connections or just 4-2-1

With my full Yosh system, I can wiggle the oil filter out without removing anything...but just barely.

I didn't take a pic of the system together before install, however i can tell you that the Yoshi system does have a cross over tube between the two middle header pipes only as you can see on their install instructions

The first thing I noted is the huge disclaimer on the top stating this exhaust is not intended for street use...

A friend of mine was saying someone he knew got into an accident with a "tuner" car and once the insurance company found out it was modified they didn't pay out his insurance claim stating the car was illegally modified.

You need to add the mods onto the insurance otherwise it doesn’t validate it or they won’t cover the cost of new goodies.

At least here in Australia.

I know with my truck and bike I did add the modifications to my insurance but they weren't too happy about the bike being modified....I think my age and the fact I have been with the same insurance company since '84 helped me.

Some (many) companies here won't insure you if you modify your vehicle, especially bikes.

Thankfully all my mods are ADR and road legal.

Looks awesome. I'm about to install mine this weekend. Is there any special tools required? Or is it all plug and play?
