Wrong way to clean chain - NWS

I used to lube the chain with the bike running in first many times and see nothing wrong with that. However, my fingers were never close to the chain - I simply point a can of chain lube (with the straw attached) at the chain. Done in a few seconds. I then would turn the bike off, switch to neutral, and use paper towel to manually spread the lube around the chain, and to take the excess off.

I have never and would never try cleaning the chain with it running. Just as fast to do it manually, and a darn sight safer.

I used to do that with my bicycle back in the day. I never thought about doing it with my Busa or any othe rbike for that matter. Oh yeah
