Will Obama take Rush up on his offer?

This is the first time ever a seated president has attacked any public figure that speaks out against him... most disturbing.. the Obama hate list is public and not a good thing.. He will NEVER go toe to toe with Rush.. Rush has far more insight and a lot less to loose.. this country is running headlong into socialism no matter what those in denial may want to think or say.. Silencing your critics because they disagree? Moving public dependence on to the shoulders of the govt?
I predict that a good number of the Obama backers are going to start seeing what is happening over the next 2 years and the elections are going to be ugly..

I think there is NO way he will do this. ESPECIALLY with no tele promtor. This is a man with great speaking skills BUT you cant "wing" a debate from the heart unless your speaking with honesty and straight from the heart.
He has a hidden agenda behind almost everything he does. So he has to WRITE his speeches in a way that will skirt around the true goal and present it in a way that the audience will jump on board and NOT ask any questions.

This isnt the first time Rush has been attacked by the WH. Clinton tried blaming hiim for the OK city bombing for cryin out loud 
But it is def. worse this time around cause he's messing with the "MESSIAH"
They (the WH and the liberals) have labeled him as the "Republican leader".
What makes him the Republican leader? Last I checked that would be the job of a President. He is an ordinary citizen with a microphone.
That is actually very sad that we dont have a true politcal Republican to step up and take on the Obamaites right now.

I don't think so. He always calls him "Mr. President" when addressing him on the radio. BUT that does NOT mean he would go soft on him. And why should he. He is tearing apart this country for how it was found to make it in his own image.
I can't see the president lowering himself to that level. Limbaugh is a talking head who earns his living stirring up the morons who can't think for themselves. The best thing the republican party could do is disassoiciate themselves from him. Don't forget President Obama is the best thing that could have happened to Limpbow because he will have four years to complain and a whole host of idiots listening while he laughs all the way to the bank.

you can think that but his opinion echo that of a good many Americans.. And regardless if they are or not... a president that is attempting to silence his critics is not a good thing.. This country is based on a lot of freedoms, one of which is that of "Free Speech" seems to be getting lost on many
Did you like that B, I came up with it all on my own.
I think we lose perspective when we discuss the talking heads, they do it for the money, period. There is nothing socially redeeming about any of them. It is a shame that he and coulter were even speakers at that conservative conference. They are good speakers, no question, but they say what you want to hear and they get paid tons of money to do it, and people buy into the crap.
I don't believe Obama should lower the Office of the President by debating an individual who's sole purpsoe in life is to make himself look good. It doesn't matter whether you like Rush or Obama--it is afterall the President of the US.
BTW--whatever happened with the whole scandal of Rush being a prescription drug addict? He's always so quick to report the dirt on everyone else. Guess that doesn't fit his conservative agenda.

+1 No matter who the President is, it would be really stupid to go on a talk show without being able to take complete control. Especially the way the media twists everything into something to stir the pot. I dont like Obama, but it would be political suicide to do a debate with Rush
The first couple of minutes of this video is all anyone with any brains needs to assess Limbaugh's credibility on any subject.

I'm not much for Rush. He plays fast and loose with the facts, and when he gets caught, he hids behind the "I'm just an entertainer" cloak. But I find it ironic that people who are blindly following Obama at his word are calling people who listen to Rush ignorant and not able to think for themselves.

To answer the poll question, Obama would have to be an idiot to take Rush up on that, and I don't think Obama is an idiot. Even if he beats Rush, Obama loses.
