DP, hopefully this is a thread not many will look at, so I can ask a politically incorrect question [if you're a member of PETA, just hide your eyes]...

Can you centerpunch a coyote and stay up? I know jackrabbits are OK, and fawns are not. As for moose, they wreck stopped cars around our canyons if they're even slightly annoyed, so...

here in oz for the last 7 years i owned a 1991 zx11 (here we call them the zzr-1100)and i was going to get the zx12 when it comes, but I changed my mind after seeing some photos of them, since i have a personal preference for the zx11 style bike the zx12 was not going to suit me....enter the busa!

Notraction: My experiences with a ZX11 is what drove me to the Busa too.

That was a fine bike. The Busa does everything the ZX11 did, better. Except maybe long distance comfort.

They are very similar in concept. Point 'n Shoot Bikes.

Enjoy yourself. God knows you've got more space in OZ to wind that Busa out than anyone else in the world!

P.S. Are you troubled by 'Roos jumping out in front of you at 150 mph? In Canada, we get Moose. In Vegas, it's financially ruined tourists. In New Jersey, it's FalconCOP161.

D. Pete--Gotta love your humor! I reread a couple of your posts in the "Customize" thread. Hysterical, you have a good attitude.

Thanks Bob.

I have a great deal of respect for your understanding of things technical, theoretical and mechanical, and always go out of my way to read your posts.

terra1: I find that younger coyotes are no problem when bisected at the narrow part just ahead of the hind legs. Adult Coyotes are so smart they're hard to hit at all.

Maybe a member in New Mexico, Utah or Southern California can give us some advice on how to handle the fleeing illegal immigrants.

Sorry about this, notraction, but it's an unpopular subject that has to be discussed.

I've done a mountain beaver at about 75 mph (near the Canadian border, south of Bellingham, Wa), and stayed up. Okay, okay...what the hell's a mountain beaver?

Same question I asked right after I hit the damned thing. It looks like a cross between a rabbit and a racoon, about the same size as a medium-sized dog...I'd say 40-50 lbs. Bastard broke my right anti-dive unit, sprayed fork oil all over my shoe, and bent my right dyna-guard. I suppose he had a hell of a headache, I didn't go back to check.

I just missed a porcupine in southern Idaho, and an owl in Montana. I'll try harder next time. I got a bat in Oregon, though...bounced off my helmet!
