Why a "busa? For me it's pretty simple: FIRST---I'm, 6'6", 200#, I just don't fit on too many other sport bikes. SECOND, I do lots of long distance cruising, and it just fit that bill. THIRD, I always try to own the best of what I buy. What could be more BEST than my orange/black baby? And that's the end of that story!:thumbsup:

Previously owned a ZX7R, but I had ridden my brother in law's ZX12R plenty of times. I knew I wanted something with that type of power. I had never ridden a Busa until I test drove the one that I bought. It was love at first ride!!!!

Ever since I was younger riding dirt bikes I had loved bikes. Of course I wanted or liked the best and well the Busa deffinetly fits that. So I knew I couldnt have it for a few years so when I finally got old enough and could afford a bike I got my 2002 SV650S cuz I didnt think I could afford the busa at that time but being that I have ridden and paid my dues and that Im just naturally a big guy the SV just wasnt for me... The Busa just fits me perfectly. I sat on the smaller bikes and felt like it just wasnt right. Saw a few guys with turbo Busas and well I havent wanted any other bike.

I was attracted by its size at first. I am 6'1" and weigh 270 and I fit on it just fine. After sitting on just about every other model in the showroom (at Crazy Freddies) it was an easy decision. This is my first bike by the way.

Just get on one and she will do ALL the explaining for you :cheerleader:

My story... haven't had a bike in 15 years (was having withdrawals)... was looking at a GSXR750 just to get back in the saddle. I was planning on getting one this past January (not a new one either, just gonna try to find a good used one). But then on Christmas Eve day, my wife pulls up to the house with her dad, and there sits my new girl in the trailer... yep, my wife bought me the Orange/Black for Christmas. Best present ever!!

I guess you can say that I didn't pick the Busa.....She picked me

Like that song..."I smell sex and choclate". It does to me what a high end Italian sports car does to me. My nipples went totally hard when I sat on that bike. I had no idea what I was buying...on the ride home I almost dumped it twice going over the notorious Hopland Pass north of Santa Rosa, Ca. Got home and said to myself, I hate this bike...it scares the poo out of me. So, I garaged it for awhile, thought about it, then bought a Vstrom 650. Rode that for about a month and retaught myself cornering and throttle control...had a blast. Got back on the sweet thing and it has been total adoration since. She loves to lay right over to her pegs and she feels planted. She can leave your friggin legs flapping in the breeze as you hold on for dear life...but I love her like a mistress. She is a sultry-sexy goddess that can kill you in a heartbeat if you aren't paying attention...Isn't that one of the main reasons men ride bikes? Aren't we under the seductive trance??? Aren't we all just a bunch of Bussy whipped little boys who need that edgy danger in our lives to feel alive? I do..and I ain't afraid to admit that I need that extra thing in my life to keep, as Pachino said in "Heat", "I need that edge". I love that I can modify her to be a sports-crusier. I can take some of the crap off and go do a track day and get her up to 150mph for a couple of seconds:cheerleader: I like that I have a powerful bike...a heavy bike..that isn't blown all over the place in wind. I don't have to flog her...At 80mph in 6th gear I think I am doing mid 4000 rpms...And Suzuki's Busa motor is an excellent excellent piece of engineering...I'm just warming up here...but here is pic of my 2 bikes...sold the Vstrom (sad sad day)

The busa was/is the only motorcycle i have ever owned and the first one i purchased. Basically i didnt know which lever was the clutch and which one was the front brake on friday, did the MSF on sat n sun, went into dealership and bought a 06 Black in Jan of 2006. Still have it and no intentions of getting rid of it anytime soon (except if maybe i can afford the new ones that came out)

i wanted one the first time i saw one, didnt care how fast how much power ok thats bs  i new i would get in lots of trouble with it so i saved some money and bought a new 2001 katana 600. rode it until may of 07 then went and got my busa. i have ridden a few other bikes and for me there is just no comparison. i have an 08 cbr600rr, im also very happy with (i got a really good deal on it) i respect both, but the busa is the king for me!

After my learning to ride phase on my 500r I was basicly stuck between getting a new litre bike or a busa/14. I knew I had to get something that was insanely fast and after long consideration the bigger bikes seemed like the best choice for me. Some of the factors that swayed my opinion was the style of the bike and comfort while on the bike. However most of all I felt the stability of the busa would be a better choice over on the nimbleness of a litre bike. At the time there were no used busas or 14s in town so I went and bought my 08 orng/blk. Best purchase I have ever made.

600's - 1000's are tinker toys. That's how they feel to me.

Looks and rep had nothing to do with it.It's big and it's stable.
