Who Rode Today?

High 60s temp and sunny, we had rain the past two days and along with high winds and a tornado watch last night. So I knew the secondary roads would have pine needles, branches, limbs, twigs etc.. I was right and several trees along my route had fallen across the road and had to be cut up and removed. Thanks to those who had it all cleared by the time I passed through lol. Gravel and leaves washed out in certain places and road still wet in shaded areas etc...

Wife wanted to ride so the pace would be pretty relaxed today. Lots of bikes out got 64 miles total not bad given that I didn’t think I’d get to ride at all today due to other plans.

Hurried pic of the wife as we were about to head out (sorry bad lighting) and took this pic of a group of bikes at the gas station which were the only pics I got today.

Nice group shot but, doesn’t anyone think of leg protection? Remember when we fell down when we were kids? What hit first? Our hands, elbows and knees! Jus sayin...

Out riding currently. About 35 to 40 miles from home . Fresh homemade country store cinnamon rolls.

I to was thinking about the road debris you mentioned , like the caution in your words about that ,shows
experience and smart thinking.
We had lots of Nor west (hot) wind down here while camping enough to snap one of my tent poles during the night grrr, wife was laughing at me stumbling around half drunk trying fix it lol.

Spending all that money on fancy bikes and probably expensive aftermarket stuff...no money left for proper protection. Also these days its so "cool" to look good on a bike....you know...to brag on instagram and facebook...:banghead:

Yep exactly no oh $hit moments as I knew today wasn’t the day to be pushing it. I forgot to mention as I was rounding a curve I met a Mercedes coupe that was partially in my lane but I had plenty of time and room to adjust and move over some more, wasn’t really even a close call as I saw it early enough

Quite the crew....great pictures

Air quality is good . It's the city during the summer that is the issue.
Home now after just shy of 100 miles . Stopped at her work to fix trailer lights while Tianne tied down the load .
I found a blown seal on the truck's right rear drive . Will hit the shop on way back from the deliveries.

I was getting high 40’s on the “Angle of the dangle” display, then I saw a 50. Today I got a 53 degree to come up on the “Lean-O-metre”. Not keen on seeing a 90 so that might be it, I’m no hero! (and the sound of the centre stand dragging on corners at that angle makes me nervous!)
