Who Rode Today?

Hoping to get a ride in this week, albeit to work and back, but still in the wind. 39 deg when I got up this AM, warming to 60 ish. Wed and Thur seem to have better riding temps. 50's to 80's.

I did however get my tire fixed, amp fixed and bags rewired with new connectors for quick removal.

126K’s / 78 miles round trip to get a pepper steak pie for breakfast.

Looks like it is in it's perfect environment........
Most of the dirt roads, trails and logging haul roads are pretty tame and well maintained.
It’s a pretty rural area and every road I explore or look up on maps and satellite pics just leads to a dozen more and they lead to more. I can do some good rides out to small local towns with hardly any bitumen. The Pine Forest tracks start less than 1/2 a mile from my front gate.

It’s not hugely challenging but that suits me and the bike.

Just something different whilst my rapidly aging body still can.

We just got home from over a week away riding the fabulous roads 800kms away, 8 days and managed 4190kms with a rain day thrown in.
Truly makes the roads in Queensland absolutely shithouse.

Stayed at a resort for the duration and done long day rides except for a trip where we stayed overnight as too long to come back.

Time for new tyres and plan the next one for March.

Those are awesome pictures......

I feel sorry for the person that had to ride that Yamaha those distances with no wind protection....

The wife haha, she absolutely adores the thing and never complains once.

It’s our usual getaway from a very busy life.
Strangely enough my son's girlfriend is the same, she rides a Honda 500 Scrambler with no windshield and even if they take a trip somewhere, he says she doesn't complain once...she even wears one of those old timey open face helmet with a bubble visor......(I don't get it).

She’s only ever owned naked bikes and won’t own a fairing bike, we had a 23 MT09 but decided to move that on and get the SP for the cruise control, decent little bike which is increasing her confidence.
